Bad time is the best teacher.
Ups and downs are part of life, all we need is to learn from every phase of our life.
“I am from Meerut, I was 5 years old when my father died. My mother is a teacher, and she always emphasises getting a good education, but I was an average student, more into sports and creative activities than studies.
My interest in creativity intrigued me towards social media, its vast space and ample reach make it the perfect destination to experiment with my creative side. So, I decided to do something in this field, but the biggest question was how? There was no one to guide me and course fees were very high.
I started learning and practising online via YouTube and Udemy. To change my learning into an experience I tried to get a job, but I was rejected due to lack of a degree. I didn’t give up and decided to start my startup.
‘Lekin rah ye bhi assan nahi thi’, from website creation to branding promotion I used to do all the work alone. I used to work for 20-21 hours daily, but the initial response was not as expected. I was suggested by many to shut it down as I have no office space, no staff and no experience. I gave no heed, and then after 14 months, I got my biggest client the ITC group and after that many more celeb collaborations. Graphicting became the name in Meerut.
I was working hard but I was naive in handling business, and that cost me badly. Things started going downhill. I never lose hope and take this as a challenge. I decided to try for the job again; alongside managing and reviving my startup. After almost 40 rejections I got selected as a Social Media Manager, and gradually with experience and the right branding strategy, my startup not only survive but also doing fine now.
Ups and downs are part of life, all we need is to learn from every phase of our life, after all, a bad time is the best teacher.”
